I like looking back to the 40s and seeing what things cost back then. Do you know what an item cost in the 40s? Post it here for the rest of us to enjoy!

You know, if we had these prices now, we could afford things just fine!Smile  Here were some things I found: (These prices were from 1940)

A gallon of gas was .11

Mens suits were priced from $24.50 (You couldn't even get the material for that now a days!)

How about a stylish new car – like the Ford Super Deluxe Sedan Coupe for a mere $1395.00
