Do you remember what kinds of comics you used to read back then? I was very interested in Science Fiction and horror and I remember things like Dan Dare and Adventures into Darkness. Here are some images to bring back the memories.

Florrie May THANK YOU so much for the link!  What a treat!  They were all there!  Green Hornet and Mystery magazine, brings out the detective in me.  Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry cartoons also had a few cartoons they did with the 1940's flair.  In one, you can look for Tom then Jerry dressed to impress in their zootsuit!

I never read these in the 40s (because I wasn't born then!), but a lot of my favorite comics and comic book characters were created in the 40s. Specifically, I'm talking about Wonder Woman, The Spirit, and Archie!
